Fantasy Heroes And Villains

This document is part of the Regnum Universale open universe. It was created to provide suggestions, inspiration and pre-generated samples of heroic and villainous characters that can be used individually or as small teams. Your heroes can face the villains all at once, for example, where powerful minions must be defeated before the Big Bad, or as part of a tiered adventure such as a large location with multiple trouble spots, or a multi-level dungeon.

Most characters are themed for sword and sorcery or medieval adventures, with a few bits and pieces from other genres, mainly because I am writing in the fantasy genre at present. However, the Regnum Universale concept allows for mixing timelines and eras. This document will likely be updated with characters from other genres once my fiction gets to that point.

Character concepts were produced by multiple AI engines. All images were created by humans and acquired through Pexels. Here's what's included:

* Character archetypes in a four-person team/squad, based on modern military fire teams. Suggestions on what archetypes you can choose from, and ideas for creating teams in the following genres: Low, Medium and High Fantasy, Post-Apocalypse and Weird West.

* 13 hero teams with 5 characters each, a total of 65 pre-generated heroic types that can be protagonists, allies, hirelings, supporting characters, or small groups for fun and adventure. Genres include Colonial, Cyberpunk, Medieval, Post-Apocalypse, Pulp Fiction, Sword And Sorcery, and Viking.

* 4 villain teams with 4 to 7 villains each, for a total of 22 villains. I designed these teams a little different, in that I had a look at character classes from the Blizzard Diablo video games and asked AI to create a villain team based on those classes. (The idea that the heroes from D1 became the villains in D2 inspired me to take the hero classes and turn them into bad guys.) In the 7 villain team, you will find the old favorites of Amazon, Assassin, Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Paladin and Sorcerer. However, the AI results are nothing like the original characters, other than in name.

* 1 additional team, made up 5 villains inspired by famous Hollywood movie monsters. Includes new versions of Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, the Wolfman, the Mummy and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. I can't wait to throw my disoriented, brave Valkyries at these guys!
