Sword & Sorcery Quick Plots And Villains

For solo gamers, writers or GMs who want inspiration, or who'd like to add low to medium structure to their conflict-heavy fantasy projects. This supplement contains everything Sword And Sorcery I have read, watched or played over the last few years, breaking things down into two major categories: 169 Plots and Villains, 49 full Campaign outlines and over 100 pages so far!

This started when I read Howard's Conan stories, to study his characters, pacing and plots in the pulp fantasy genre, and so it is fitting that is the largest category in the book. Here's an example of what a Conan entry might look like:

3. R.E. Howard - Conan, Shadows In The Moonlight

Plot: After saving a runaway slave girl, the protagonist escapes into the desert and holes up in ancient ruins that turn out to be more than expected.

Villains: A band of pirates, a gray man-ape, and ancient statues of dark-skinned, hawk-faced men that come to life in moonlight.

Or maybe you'd like to play a campaign based on the movies, Conan The Barbarian and Conan The Destroyer. The major plot points are included here, so your campaign can advance just like the movies. But wait, there's more! Say you want to switch up Conan's allies, or villains, or you want to dice roll for a single story arc and base your adventure on that. Maybe you don't want Conan as the protagonist, but Red Sonja, or Solomon Kane, or the Witcher, or your favorite fantasy action hero or heroine. Maybe you don't like Conan's desert setting, and you wonder how your character might do in a world inspired by the Diablo I and II video games?

The beauty of these descriptions is that they're short and can be tweaked and adjusted any way you want, including in genres such as low magic heroic fantasy, epic fantasy, fantasy horror and even dark sword & planet.
